    Interesting. Anybody knows what is the indicative price? So far for semi-furnished service suites, the benchmark is set by Sunrise@Gurney i think, ~900psf. Lets see if SDB is going to beat that.

    the residential component of this project must never be approved by the authorities…the beach belongs to the ppl & must be made accessible…beachfront residential development must never be allowed in batu ferringhi to avoid being another blunder like tanjong bungah.

    The land sits in the BATU FERINGGHI TOURISM ZONE. The development is more akin to being a SOHO type but with residential like facilities. Whereas the OSC PORTAL describes the development as comprising a commercial complex and some office blocks including carpark and public facilities.
    This will be a most undesirable precedent for BATU FERINGGHI if this so-called commercial development might end up as a residential in an established TOURISM ZONE.
    LETS KEEP THINGS THE WAY THEY ARE AND STEER AWAY FROM ACTS FOR THE SHEER DESIRE TO PROFIT AT THE COST OF THE ISLAND’S INTEGRITY AND THE PEOPLES’ RIGHTS.

    I live in Eden Seaview (on the seaside so overlook this new development which will change my view) on 14th floor. The mosque is very close to these prestigious suites and the “call to prayer” may disturb some people living in them.

    Nice project but the area it will be located in is pretty much the butth-le of Batu Ferringhi. Directly in front is what the locals in batu Ferringhi call, “The Cemetery of old jetskis”. Abandones jetskis and boats are piled up there. Not to mention there are tons of shantys around..

    I would think twice about buying in that location

    No point build residence near beach cos pg beach not nice & sea full of jellyfish, choose opposite side cos got streams, waterfalls, hills & lots of trees, so peaceful & quiet.

    After visiting By The Sea, I found myself buying Ferringhi Residence immediately in Feb this year. Half price for same size with a better living environment and a much nicer interior finish, with Mah Sing even more luxury developer compared to SDB. All Mah Sing stuff are expensive in KL and very high end.
    I like Moonlight bay, Island Resort and maybe Bayu Ferringhi too, but certainly By The Sea is worst of all newer developments in the area. And even 2-3 times more expensive psf compared to the rest of the developments above.

    @FR buyer
    You are comparing beachfront with sea view by SDB to the rest? There is no comparison. SDB is a boutique developer like E&O and YTL. Their projects are only meant for those that can pay the premium.

    Ivorys workmanship is so bad. Mah sing FR surrounded by low cost flats and has no view. Higher density. Bayu Ferringhi is worth looking into.

    I agree sub is a good niche developer. BTS will set the benchmark for all the condos in BF.

    FR will do better than bayu because not many people fancy living next to the Sri sayang antenna.

    went to have a look at the site and boy, at that price and location , there are much better buys like Bayu Ferringhi..yes, the concept may be different but for luxurious living, Bayu F wins hands down..

    its just adjoining the mosque, the beach is nothing to shout about, and the surrounding is rather run down at best..however, the buyers may be seeing something am not I reckon..

    ” streams, waterfalls, hills & lots of trees, so peaceful & quiet.” will be gone very soon as the state gov is planning to build expressway there. Sorry to disappoint you.
