Following a tradition, the new committee of the Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association Malaysia (Rehda) Penang paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow in Komtar yesterday.

The developers took the opportunity to raise several issues while Chow listened as well as took notes.
Among the issues were e-Tanah, land title search/application for titles, “syarat nyata” (express condition) in land title, strata title, rezoning, appeals board cases, high compliance costs & cost of doing business, residential policy and affordable homes.
Khoo also requested more engagement sessions with government agencies and local authorities before policies and guidelines are approved, saying that Redha Penang was always ready to partner with the state government.
Chow, who attended the Rehda Penang Fellowship Dinner 2022 on June 24, said he was aware of the challenging times that Rehda Penang is facing and would study their proposals.
