    Remember the tsunami along Gurney Drive in 2004. In view of similar sea front and the low platform level, who knows?

    @Tsunami risk Remember the tsunami in 2004, I placed booking for Ariza because of this news I pulled back and invested Setia pearl island landed House. I regretted to say that I made this stupid decision didn’t proceed with Ariza. Now the market value is min 2 mil with 700k purchased, Setia pearl island is 1.3mil only with 700k purchased

    How much is this new house, I bet it would be minimal 2.5mil above.

    It can’t be lower than 2.5mil since it is closer to sea front and newer. Older Ariza terrace are minimal 2 mil market price.

    Haaaaa, only for the super-rich..

    Hi Michael,

    The south of Penang island is going to be the future of hot spot, it is matter of time, as compare, it is likely to be in higher potential in term of more job creation from industry and commercial, indirectly it will create more job for the people, people only can spend more with their income which to revive the economic for good, example, just look at the area of Queensbay mall, personally, south of Penang island would be the future, my 2 cents.

    @James

    May I enquire, which area has more jobs and job creation in the past 8 years? North area (tanjung tokong, Tg. Bunga, Gurney, Pulau Tikus etc) or south area (bayan lepas, bayan baru area with big big MNCs)?

    Penang south is the future ? u must be kidding when you jam with bunch of factory low class people.

    Stay north is better with rich and famous could be your neighbour.

    In Penang, every places also jam lah, don’t you said tanjung tokong is not jam?, do you think that staying in famous or hotspot could make you special? Pls think what is the purpose of buying a property, for the sake of staying or branding? let me tell you, I am from tanjung bunga too : ). But I see, it is not worthy with this perception unless you are super rich : ), I would rather focus on affordability and potential, No offence just from my personal view.

    @Mus Mamak

    Such an immature comment you made to judge the living standard of the people on Penang island. What is/are the qualification method(s) you used to measure the living standard between North & South regions, in overall? May you please share? Don’t try to tell me that you live on the island for xx years and you judge it based on your perception. Then you’re just bullshit…

    Hi Tuapui,

    I am sorry to say that I don’t have the data to measure on its statistic of new job creation, in industrial zone, there are old factories out and new inflow as well.

    In comparison of south and north, my personal view is south has more job creation than north due to industrial zone.

    At last, there is no right or wrong whether staying in north or south, it is up to individual preference. As long as you feel comfortable, it is considered a good place. Ideally, A criteria of bring good place always in less crime or safer,That should be the right measurement and benchmark instead of branding due to perception. My 2 cents.

    @CJW

    This project is definitely overpriced, from rental return as well as intrinsic value point of view. I nearly fell for it, but woke up the last minute, and for the same amount of money, bought an old bungalow in Tanjung Bunga and rebuilt the whole house to my own spec and design.

    How much did that cost you?
    Price of bungalow+renovation+others = ?
    And how big is the bungalow
