Brands at Design Village (Penang Premium Outlet)
Penang’s latest track of outlet stores will be opening in just under five days at Batu Kawan. The Design Village, also known as Penang Premium Outlets, will house dozens of luxury brands on a 28 acres of land.
The outlet mall will be opening on 23 November @ 6PM. Here is the complete list of brands opening in new mall and most of them will open on 23 Nov, while some will open within the next two months.
That’s not all, there are more brands under negotiation and will be joining the mall in 2017.

how about coach, longchamp, burberry and etc? The brands above not so premium?
How about sports brands – Nike, Puma, Le Coq, UA?
No Levi’s, Tommy Hilfiger, Fred Perry and etc?
all those average so-so brands which u can find in any shopping mall
Should had named it as penang common outlet
HAhahaa…this is the so called Design Village? Well it aint no different from 1st Avenue or Queensbay Mall lor. It will be a million light years before Coach or Burberry would even bother to consider coming in.
There is only one high tiered luxury brand in the list which is Sacoor Brothers. But i doubt Sacoor can survive beyond the 1st term of tenancy.
I doubt there would be high end brands in outlet mall, look at HK’s near to HK airport..Mostly moderate brands with affordable prices, that’s how they draw the crowds to visit in new town while location is far..
If Gucci, Armani or Versace, Rolex, Burberry come, I doubt they could survive, just go to Gurney and Paragon are better option..
Outlet is cater for affordable products..I am happy to see all these brands and mostly suit me..
Omg all common brands that we can find in Gurney plaza / Qb.
If the price is same as those in G.P / QB, y need to go so far there buy? ?
Let’s see how attractive is their pricing.
if all is highly branded with no any so call middle brand…who is going to buy ?? somemore still hv around 80 shop havent in brand list yet.. those brand suit my taste anyway… as long as affordable.
Not even have Polo. I will only go there after Ikea opens. Johor one much better.
Looks ok to me, very reasonable and practical brands for mass market.
Penang Gudang Sale village!
Outlet is cater for affordable products? You are wrong. Outlet is for those out season products from luxury brand or high end brands. Don’t need Prada or Gucci. Just moderate Coach, Michael Kors, Longchamp will do. But also not available?
Who are going to drive along the way to there and buy the same things? I doubt that Padini and those brands are able to offer lower price.
Padini T-Shirt – RM15, Design Village will sell RM5?
Adidas shoe in QB/Gurney – RM200-300, Design Village – RM100?
I doubt it will happen
What polo u mean? I don’t think there is any Ralph Lauren outlet in Penang
The problem is this developer does not co-developer the Designer Village with Premium Outlets owner. That’s why they call it Designer Village instead of Penang Premium Outlets. The brands here are really too common in Penang.
Ha ha ha…..mainland! What do you expect? Ha ha ha ha!! She who laughs last, laughs the most!
Wait n see how long they can last in mainland….
This thing built in mainland already expected is useless. If high class why not they din built in island.
Never expected thing in mainland will high class
Island = high class
Mainland = low class
all those mainland advocates really soh chai…. mainland investment will never work…. Penang Island people shun mainland…so very very ulu and low class……..I feel for you all, mainlanders. Stay put there ok? Kwai kwai stay there
Y Y tell me why? Y people rush to invest there? Dont they know they hv to wait at least more than 30 yrs ( if they r lucky ) B4 they can hv any profit in return? While in the meantime the whole BK will become a dead town…got condos but no one stays…got shops but no one doing business…Why? Because all bought for investment. M i right?
Since when this become topic between mainland n island…no matter what is the argument…dun we hope for better future? Malaysia is already in terrible shape…got development better than none…if mainland fail to be developed I dun think how far can island go…
It will never have one piece of sky that shine forever…even feng shui also have a ten years turn…stepping on people to bring up own status ..is this something to be proud of….the more weathly people will be more humble
lol y islander keep noisy? jealous mainland develop? or scare islander move to mainland then ur island property no demand and value drop haha
No. Just pity you guys in ululand. Getting from bad to worse. Already fly infested and now even brands have deserted. Tsk. Tsk.Tsk.
@water fish
Tis is nt call noisy… How the mianland develop also lose island…. From British time mainland already lose island… Even 1 better mall also dun have in mainland…. Most tourism aso come island never think to mainland…. The worst thing is most of ppl never know mainland is belong to penang…. Low class place how develop aso low class….
Mainland = low class
Island = high class
@water fish
Dude, save your breath to Getha and Useless lah, they have all the while been island supremacist and kept leaving lots derogatory comments on many mainland projects which already cause some attention previously…
So, just do not bother both of them because in term of knowledge, wealth and number of property (asset) , they might just be nobody but probably property agent from island who are hard to make living…
They are not just arrogant but also defiant and think overly highly of themselves even my relatives, friends and colleagues who are from island also never behave like them…
They have no idea there is no custom checkpoint between mainland and island as if we have problem going over ; they have no idea there is no barrier & restriction for mainlanders to buy property in island as long as we like ; they have no idea that mainland’s average earning income is on par with them or some professions are even higher..
So,what’s so big deal about two little clown? Visitors come island due to island has many more attraction and heritage since British time and so this is your big deal to look down on others?Visitors come HK also majorly visit HK island for the same reason and hardly go further to New Territories so does that make residents from NT poorer in term of knowledge and wealth?
If talking about ten years ago, probably each time when I came back to Penang,we could only go island for shopping and eating spree but now sorry to say and islanders might not like to hear, it’s getting lesser to go over,at least my past two trips home back in BM, I didn’t travel across because I didn’t need to buy any high end brands like Rolex, Prada and so on..We have our good life here as well, not necessarily going to those you hardly can afford to buy..if yes, why not Spore and HK at cheaper price while more fashionable?
Sometimes, honestly to say,both of you really need to grow up and spend more time to construct yourselves to be better man rather wasting so much time to belittle all projects in mainland as if you are the tycoons or ministers that you can help in contributing & building better Penang for us…Grow up and wake up..please..
@Mainland4u
Dude, it’s good enough already to have these brands,more will come soon, be patient….Honestly,hardly see LV, PRADA,GUCCI,COACH even CK to open outlets for out season products, maybe they never wanted to lower their prices and sell cheap at outlet…
Mostly I saw at HK near to airport were also above mentioned brands…I just brought my Penang colleagues and friends over there to shop…Outlets are really meant for more discounts and affordable priced products (yes,mostly out season already) else I really don’t think they are attractive if prices are same or higher than town…
alot islander always come autocity, icon city, raja uda, y? because island no such success place, u must go around, dont just sit at island like katak in the well, alot mainlandr stay semi d, g&g landed project= low class?most of islander stay at 700sf shoe box= high class?
Please enlighten me that my DST was purchased at RM210k and now worth min RM500k at kg baru, BM and my condo was purchased at RM388k and now worth RM520k, same in BM…So, are they all bad investment and you are the only one in the planet know what investment is..?
I really dunno what’s wrong with you kept coming to our turf and territory to kick up the mess, you can always go back to all island posts and comment there, we will never give it a shit about you, mate!
If you really have problem in finding a job, please be humble and keep your head down,perhaps I can help you to refer one for you..ok..be good…
Should particular attention to Useless man and pathetic Getha, I have seen so far only two of them like to come mainland posts to disturb, probably both they are from same property agency and lately many developers focused on developing mainland so they are freaking worried…Already having hard time while getting more islanders choose to buy property in mainland liao so if they don’t be scaremonger, they will have to LL come mainland and find job one day…very kesian them…
Trying to justify eh? Sorry. Many do not buy it. Mainland will always be a gonner. Also, do not forget to pangkah BN ya. They are the way forward for Penang. take care and stay in your ululand. Ha ha ha
Hello my dear Getha boy, it’s time to come back to your ward and take medicine already ya. don’t go outside bark here and there ya, later people would think that you’re mentally imbalanced ^^
Hahah…don’t laugh me to death…What is to justify with an unjustifiable person like you? I bet you must be very inferior guy who can always try to catch attention by making sensational, egoistic and arrogant comments only..
Unless you really did contribute something to Penang island then you still worth my respect but if you were just born and staying on island and acting like you are the owner of island, then you are really pathetic..
Well, I shall not say islanders staying / buying properties in mainland are goners, that’s your arrogant opinion only because my colleagues and neigbour were from island and chose to settle down in BM now, I would say that that’s the matter of choice while they wanted bigger space at reasonable price..
Island is a city where we never deny its development since British’s time..We are happy to see British positioned to groom island to be business & tourism hub where mainland plays the role as poultry, agriculture, light industry & logistic hubs. This is very basic knowledge but I doubt you really understood based on your very megalomaniac character..
If you don’t like mainland, we are happy that you continue to stay on island and never come here because we doubt you could help contribute abit..We do no need psyco guy here as well but we welcome other normal islanders to come enjoy eating and shopping spree..
Mainland always be a gonner? Please la friend. If mainland is a gonner then Island also not good until where. I think U’ve stuck in our own shell for quite sometimes. There are many empty buildings in Island as well. Please go to Sg Ara area and also Jelutong. Not all condos/apartment/flats a 100% filled up
Yes I agree, Low class place how develop aso low class.
Just like you, Low class people how tech aso low class
I can sure that many islanders have move to mainlanders for a larger house. The distance of a bridge is actually longer than from Bayan Lepas to Tj Tokong. To live in a larger house better than living in a apartment and pay maintenance fees for live
All bought for investment? How about Island? All also bought for own stay? Please do check the fill up rate of new projects in Island before talking kok here
In fact, by looking at above mentioned brands, some are not really cheap stuff too..Like Timberland, Citizen, Guess, Esprit, Pierre Cardin…Easily cost a piece of collar shirt RM300 one..So, if really having Gucci, Prada, LV, Versace…we really need to ask ourselves Penangites that do we really need them to be here or just when needed, go Gurney / Paragon to buy will do..
Else, the buying power is not there and will share and split the buyers from Gurney/Paragon, then sooner all are losers, all close down…agree?
I pity those trying to justify the brands. Really no brand there at all. A real shame and a real let down. Just like the remainder of mainland. Ha ha ha ha
Getha is someone who doesnt argue based on facts. I dont see anything constructive coming from him/her but only personal attacks on other people and cries to support BN Lets not go down to his/her level. Readers reading the comments thrown at each other are laughing at the level of debate here.
Mainlanders are so easily identifiable and always edgy. Very sensitive when ppl talk about their place but please face facts. You guys are never gg to be developed. Also, opposition are never going to be united. Only talk about changing the government but what then…the country will be in worse situation. As such, revert to BN and opposition pls go stand in the corner and let the government do their job.
@Getha
Tsk tsk tsk… thanks to people like you… Penang would never go back to BN… Hope your boss see this…
The current state government has brought nothing but misery but yet many are still hoodwinked into thinking they are the right choice. Time to wake up and stop the herd instinct
@Getha
Tell your boss you tried already… they will understand… hahaha..
Dont change the topic la please…..just a design village topic only what for talk until politic pula hiaz….. Gxxxa dnt like mainland ma dnt talk shit at here lo, even when you talk also dint bring any effect to mainland, Developer will not stop their work by reading your comment. Batu kawan will keep on develop, ikea will keep on progress, ecoworld will keep on progress, KDU will keep on progress, day by day design village surrounding now also getting nicer the infrastructure….. Tak syiok ma get lost lo, stay in your island everyday packed with your congested island road with ur car, go over to your gurney paragon & drive buy ur very high class brand until you po kai !!! Dnt come mainland pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee………..
even got burberry, LV, Prada also no use.. penang purchase power is weak… when you shop at QB, Gurney.. try to look around.. most people are only window shopping.. not really buying. Even Prada at town area also will chap in no time…
so, i have houses in island and i stay permanently in mainland.. so i consider low class?
how har like that.. but i am rich wor and i think myself quite class la..
should i ngeh ngeh move to island to prove i got class..
Thanks to those ppl like Getah, we will continue to support opposition.
At least in the past 8 years, the pricing of houses in mainland have increased. What’ve BN did before? the price never increase. lol
People talk like they are buying many houses on the island or mainland so they comment which area is better.
Well I am worried that with the current trend , very soon I can’t even buy a house.
So guys , consider yourself lucky if you can afford one now whether in mainland or island.
Counting down for tomorrow opening
I hear from island ppl aso say mainland ppl no educated….
Sadly many still are hoodwinked and still in the mainland comfort zone. So sorry for these people. Wonder when they will wake up.
from your comment, I can see that you are un-educated as your England is so powderful
Sadly many islanders like Rubber Getah still stuck in their cages/shoe boxes and paying maintenance fees for life
Wendy’s is opening in Auto City and Design Village
Wendy’s burgers are ok, at least something different from McD, but the staff sucks! It can’t survive long in Penang, their fate will be the same as Burger King.
Wonderful news
Thanks Islanders and mainlanders for making Design Village the Top popular Post
Wish list: Banana Republic, J Crew, Polo Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, DKNY, Kenneth Cole, Coach, Tumi, A&F, Armani, Ann Taylor, Brooks Brother, Burberry, Boss, Nautica, Cole Haans, Sunglass Hut, Time Factory, Tommy Hilfiger, and Vitamin World.
@CK Tan
Good wish list, but mainly are luxury products…We don’t simply hope they come only but also need to think how they could sustain bro…Else, they come and go and look bad on us..
How about Hugo Boss? Your Boss is Hugo Boss? Hugo Boss is not cheap…My first suit from Hugo Boss…Wore less than 5 times nia in past 10 years..
@Mainland4u
I know my English is no good…. But i really hear island ppl say mianland ppl is no educated…
Bro, Mai Chap Siao them la..both them are losers who can only try stir up the argument so that they could feel their existence and value…
If they are so great and so highly educated, they won’t be so free and childish to make ignorant and stupid comments already lah..
So,let’s focus on what this topic is all about, discuss more on what outlets and products are good for the design village so that it could last and shine..
Then those losers and pathetic fellows will shut up automatically…Cheers…
Anybody going tonight for the opening?
Please update here on any further details worth sharing.
Nothing worth going. Sigh…hopefully it will not become deserted soon with just the occasional visitor. Sigh…mainland, what to expect.
@Getha
Pathetic childish Penangites arguing about so call class between islander and mainlander. Bottom point, get a life as u guys suck ass! Period
Sigh…islander, what to expect.
The ‘latex mattress’ just cannot be happy and jealous any projects are outside the congested island.
Sigh…hopefully those malls in island will not become deserted soon with just the occasional visitor due to all go to Design Village.
I think in three months the novelty effect will be gone and then the place will be deserted. no way mainland projects can succeed. Its all talk and then after that…. fade away. The end.
Islander getting very worry, cannot sleep for next 3 months even with latex mattress.
Islanders are worrying because their new condos stuck and cannot sell. Got value, but no buyers. Many investors stuck with their money, wanna sell but no buyers.
1 area with 100 empty terrace houses better than 1 block with 500 empty houses. 100 ghosts vs 500 ghosts. haha
Mainland will become a desert better than congested and cannot move. public transport is dominant by foreign workers, no choice, but to stuck in the jam. At least, we are able to drive smoothly in mainland.
@Getha
Dare to swear your baby won’t have pat pat if you go to this Design Village or not..
Dude, Penangites don’t argue over this issue but in fact if you have noticed, only Getha (Gatai) and Useless (Really Useless one) were always started out this meaningless comments on our posts, we never went any island properties posts to leave derogatory comments..
Both of them are jobless and hard to make living as property agents on island, perhaps you can offer them some help..They are just being too FREE, Mian Zuo Gang lah…Or else, it’s going to be endless…Sian, right? Hahahah
La Martina, Hackett, Ralph Lauren, Bally, Feragamo, Burberry, AX, Marvell Superhero, CK brands ?????????????
the design isn’t bad, quite nice
Good comments from you bro!
Kent, can u please delete non constructive comments here…?
I saw the promotion advertisement of Johor Premium Outlets…Really nice and good…Hmm…Ours really abit lose out compared to Johor’s…
In fact, what’s the major difference?How come Johor’s is basically high end brands and still able to do promotion up to 70%…How true is it I wonder..Can a piece of nice jean costs RM400 goes down to RM120?
That sounds cool and really attractive..I mean the Premium Outlets at Johor..
Hi,
Its true, basically outlet is for off-season clearance. A 1000 wallet during launch might cost as cheap as 500 in outlet. The same for outlet in overseas, where a piece of Levis jeans costs as cheap as RM40.
yesterday at carlo lino outlet…rm2xx something wallet discount till rm60. between the adidas outlet is big. waiting for many more shop open and brand listing.
Yes,the Taiwanese Variety show 二分之一强 the latest episode also talked about OUTLETS over the world..Realised that U.S has got the most outlets throughout different cities and really give very attractive discounts…
I also hope that those big brands such as Burberry,GUCCI,PRADA,LV,Versace will open outlets here and give 70% discount for most items..hehe
@hehe
carlo lino only bangla or indon will buy. with it cheap look.
I thought bangla will only buy “LV” or “Gucci” from Petaling Street. Looks like I underestimate them already..
Vic, you are right .. Doesn’t mean all island people are rich and mainland people are poor… just be humble unless you are staying in a bunglow at Tanjung Bunga or Batu Ferringgi areas.. Else, those island keypad warriors just shut up !
Boring place… Many brand can bought in qb or gurney… Oni 1 or 2 restaurant to eat…. Surround thr is jungle….no surprise
YES.. WAT A BORING PLACE, THE KLIA MITSUI ONE IS BETTER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!@Boring
Huh..I think you have misunderstood the concept of outlet…it is not meant for a brand that you cannot find in shopping mall,but it is meant for more discounts and cheaper price lah..if the brands in outlets are unknown or newly developed brands then really nobody will come and they will close soon…
My only concern is how cheap they could go only compared to selling prices at QB/Gurney…
If min 30% and above, I’m more happy to see already..Let say my wife and I gonna spend RM1.5k, 30% price cheaper than mall means around RM642 savings already…Worth shopping there already…what if they are averagely 50% cheaper?then you judge and gauge yourself loh…
Dude,why not you mention US outlets..We are in Penang, not KL or Johor…If distance is not a concern,then HK is also better option
Spent about 6 hours & my views are as such.
Space is big enough & location is ok even though development is going up all around.
Quality of outlets & overall concept still needs a lot of development to continue upgrading. Since a lot of outlets are still not open yet we still have to wait for more better things to come.
1 thing that we really hated was among quite a number of shops opened many are not even bothered to even tile the floors (not really expensive though) & just used the original rough cement render which to us is quite unacceptable bearing in mind the hygiene, more like lelong concept. If doing a comparison between JB & KL Mitsui then it is still lacking very far behind.
Pricing wise is not really heavily discounted just a little bit more than std outlets as we made some comparisons that we recently saw.
Only heavily populated with customers were FOS, Padini where some real cheap stuff was available. Guess also had hugh discounts but available sizes were way too small or too big.
Crowd wise was very big groups of kampung kias & fmilies since it is a new toilet & free parking etc etc.
Another major flaw is there is way too little outlets for food & drink. Another 20 more outlets is needed to cater for this insufficiency.
Parking wise the multi storey is sufficient however the traffic flow is horrendous.
Flow of cars going in & out should be totally the opposite way as it is now. Wonder how the designers never thought of it. The guards were quite useless in traffic directions.
Overall assessment. Ok for now but still needs loads of improvement in many areas to really make it well acceptable.
Overall this will bring the much needed progress to the development of this area which I do hope to see.
Very good and constructive feedback…my friends just went and found the place still too many empthy shops…Perhaps still another one year to fill up the vacancies, hopefully…
I think is another un-success project like Pearl city mall, perda city mall and BM mall
Different developer and concept, let see how it is one year later loh…Perda City Mall closed already, Pearl City Mall never been to yet, BM Mall is BM city mall,right?How is BM City Mall so far?Surviving or dying soon?
Need at leat a floor/area map and more F&B choices.
@edisongan
Tat mean alot developer in mainland is always un-successful project.
Nt oni pearl city mall is whole pearl city is fail city planning.
Perda city mall is big enough bt fail.
Bm mall is BM makota mall
@Boring
True enough that most of the malls did not make it..Haha…Perda City Mall due to sinking issue if not wrong, so Aeon mall opened a new one at Alma called BM Aeon Mall..That one should be so far so good..
Heard that someone is taking over the Utama Plaza, how true it is? Haha..
BM Plaza now is mobile accessories trading plaza..
BM Mahkota ada mall?? Open already? How is it?
BM city mall also not yet open..Dunno how is it..
But Design village should be better off since it’s part of Aspen city project…Hopefully it can sustain and last long..Haha….Buying discounted products are good and happy..
How about Island Plaza, BJ Complex, Pelangin Mall, Penang Plaza, Komtar… So far only QBM and Gurney plaza are successful in island after so many years…
Bro, island Plaza also habis? Really? I had good time and memory shopping there during my schooling time…My first leather pant was also from Island Plaza..Hahaha…As for Komtar..really no comments..very smelly, thought they are doing revamping now?
island malls should be Gurney, Paragon, 1st Avenue and QBM are doing well..The rest also facing tough survival..
@edisongan
Island plaza is looking for buyer. It is too small to attract shoppers. Design Village got potential due to its size, need more Saks Fifth Avenue kind of brands.
@tan32
a couple of additional points:
1.Safety concerns need to be addressed quickly. Exposed cables, protruding electrical boxes, and risky behavior of shoppers beside the water pools.
2.Littering, smoking and general uncivil behavior [kicking stones, throwing things into the water] should be nipped soon. Guards, personnel postings are insufficient.
3.Massive garbage dump was seen at the side entrance within the outlet premises.
Overall, looks promising.
Malls that have failed so far are those which units are fully sold to end purchasers with the result that there is no competent body to manage mall. There are only two very successful malls in penang so far , Gurney Plaza and QB owned and managed by capital malls. EVen gurney paragon is said to be lagging behind these two but still much better than many others. Developers are mainly interested to sell their units for profit and do not care what happens thereafter. There is no control in the mall managament. Many will become white elephants. But you cant really blame the developers too because mall management is a whole new ball game and if a developer were to retain the malls for management it may affect their cash flow. You need experienced hands like capital malls to floruish or developers with very strong cash reserves and experience like Paviliion and the other REITS. We dont quite have developers of this calibre in Penang yet. That said I hope Design Village is managed well and its management become the next Capital Malls of Penang !
Spot on !! All our successful malls in Penang island (QB mall, Gueney Plaza) are managed by Singaporeans. Let’s see if this management of Design Village can beat that.
But Khor, Design village is outlet mall, how to compare with shopping mall? Haha…Different concept leh…
@edisongan
different concept but still need good management to make it successful
@edisongan
My humble view is that it is the same regardless of the name it carries. The malls whether outlet or shopping thrive on rentals paid by tenants. The people managing it will be key and location is also important whether or not the mall flourishes. Managing the mainland malls will be tricky as they are untested waters and a new market . This is most likely the reason why we dont see Capital Malls venture into those areas. It may well be that even with their expertise they may also fail there due to the purchasing power of the community in that area. For design village to flourish it very much depends on the spending power of the community and creativity of the mall management to make heaps of investment into advertising to entice visitors. You can see how much capital malls and gurney paragon invest into advertising almost every weekend for events etc.
Definitely will fail fail fail, new jamban good to go concept… After 1 years, i think will have a lot flies there la… Luckily got Super IKEA come for help
@Roger Rabbit
Hahaha..why is this time your humble opinion..how about the rest?Haha…Anyway,pretty agree with most pointers..I believe other readers also feel the same but since this is part of Aspen City project and there must be strong reason from their top management to choose the location and open outlets here…Why not shopping mall if this is bound to boom?
That’s why, outlets is outlets, malls is malls, they have certain difference in costing management..The rental would be much relatively cheaper too,not even to compare to high end mall so that they could afford to always give big discounts to attract high volume of visitors…That’s why usually outlet stores are located at outskirt area
If Design village is aim to attract not only mainland, as well as Island and neighbouring towns buyers who are looking for their acceptable & affordable products…When DV has successfully imprinted this image into most consumers’ subconscious, I think DV is already successful..
Trust, people are willing to travel miles just for cheap goods..I had seen people from Taiping engaing a lorry just to come Seberang Jaya Carrefour (now no more Carrefour) to buy tons of beers and drink…That’s why I said the concept is Different..Most people go shopping Mall for window shopping but most come outlets to shop…Else,why bother to spend so much time to travel to so far away…With cheap rental, sellers can 薄利多销
That’s also my humble opinion..Let see how it is gonna be one year later..
Year 2010 i stay in Simpang Ampat. After 5 year i few that i better move back to island. Simpang Ampat really is a place feel veey boring, less place to eat, alot of road aso damage, surround area is jungle, even mall aso dun have!
Sure ma.. they are managed by CapitaLand. See the difference..
Pavillion KL is not CapitalLand also.. better somemore..
@pepper
Pavillion KL is not by CapitalLand also.. better somemore..
@edisongan
Agree with you that the rental will be cheaper here, therefore shops can give more discounts, that’s good deal. I think it will do good business with good crowd, even the banglas and construction workers in the area can come here and buy and enjoy themselves. These people normally feel out of place when they go
@edisongan
Agree with you that the rental will be cheaper here, therefore shops can give more discounts, that’s good deal. I think it will do good business with good crowd, even the banglas and construction workers in the area can come here and buy and enjoy themselves. These people normally feel out of place when they go gurney plaza or paragon, but this place is just nice for them. But just hope they don’t mess up the toilets too much as they don’t really have a good sense of hygiene.
Hahaha….You are good !
omg this outlet is rubbish… its far and brands are just horrible
they call this OUTLET ??? I think they dont know the meaning of OUTLET
what waste of such a big land in penang… GG….
those brands are not even “so so” brands… just gg….
@Getha
I totally agree… brand sucks … seriously wtf are they thinking
i been there last week but the brand sucks! no polo ralf, La Martina, Hackett, Ralph Lauren, Bally, Feragamo, Burberry, AX, Marvell Superhero, CK brands.
G2000, guess, WTF i can buy them at Pasar Malam or bundle.
The place very very far wasting my money and time.
I’m so disappointed!
@helmy faizal
Hahahahah…Abang..People already showed you on top all the brands they have there lah…before you going you should take a look if this is your favour or not..If not, just don’t go and buy at shopping mall better with more comfortable environment…
Luckilly the brands you mentioned I am not so interested especially Ralph Lauren..hehhee..
But G2000, Gap, Converse, Citizen , Guess, Pierre Cardin and Timberland do interest me because I have been buying above branded products for years and they usually won’t over charge…
Anyway, this could be really subjective one lah…No way to be in everyone’s favour loh..
Stay cool man..
Are those G2000, GAP, Citizen, Guess, Timberland stuff really cheaper there ? I go there once and feel like no cheaper than those selling at QB mall / Gurney Plaza…..LOLOL
Aku tak tahu..Belum pergi..Wait before CNY I come back to BM, I will go there and see see look look…Hopefully it’s cheaper than mall since they label themselves as outlet mah..But surely cheaper than HK now due to RM depreciating non-stop!
From your comment, clearly shows that u are not a fans of those brands. These brands are definitely cheaper than the retail stores. A G2000 formal shirt costs at least RM100 and above, but DV only offers RM50 and above, a GAP T shirt costs RM60 in DV. Please check the pricing before comment here. Talk like a frog under the coconut shell.
Everyone keeps on demanding for luxury brand and talks like they are going to buy a Coact wallet everyweek, a Ralph Lauren polo T everyweek, a Burberry handbag everyweek. We are in Penang, not in Johor (with Singapore beside and SGD).
Very funny, the brands available are up there. No ones ask u to go there. U sendiri went there and berserk? c2p
I’m sure that you never been to outlets in overseas. I guess those Gucci, Prada, Coach in overseas’ outlets are also available in their retail stores. Don’t talk stupid things here. Who say that those brands appear in town cannot appear in outlet mall?
Haha….”Mainland4u” the DV protector, why so big response when got people give critics/comments on the DV ? Cannot accept criticism/comments ka ?
Don’t lah so low EQ and and re-act like katak bawah tempurung!
my friend at Guess bought girls handbag discount 50% to rm300.. great with nobody know its a past season stuff haha… btw G2000 really hv nice stuff to grab for men formal shirt n pants
@main, who tell you Penang people cannot afford to buy luxury goods, people using Iphone 7 every where. Not to mention that Penang’s properties is one of the most expensive properties in Malaysia, people got high purchasing power (i.e. buying properties), why not luxury goods?.
The reason why Bank Negara Malaysia lower the interest rate is because the government want people to borrow more loans and encourage us to spend more. Money getting smaller right now, no point keep the money~.
Real katak dibawah tempurung are those never been to overseas outlet. LOL!
Yo folks, buying iPhone 7 everywhere is different as a unit of iPhone 7 and last for a year, how many can use iPhone 7 Plus 256GB, Latest prada bags (RM10,000) and stay in bungalow. Less than 1 percent. U compare an iPhone 7 equals to spending power?
ha ha, some peoples purposely list out those very premium, luxury brands to show-off they got the high class and taste but actually they are dreaming only as they cannot even afford those brands they listed. ha ha ha. Sweet Dream.
Hmm…I guess the management is more looking at “consumable” rather than “branding effect”..
People could afford to buy Guess, Citizen, Levis, Pierre Cardin, G2000, Espirit, GAP, Timberland, Camel and so on monthly, quarterly basis but hard to see people would buy LV, Prada, Gucci, Burberry monthly, quarterly or even yearly lah..
Don’t be so picky lah…those really wanna go for high end products should just go Gurney or Paragon with nicer and prettier shopping environment….
Honestly, those ppl demanding here should go to Gurney or even Pavilion to buy the latest products from luxury brands. Not bragging for off-season products in outlet. Rich ppl buy latest fashion, not off-season from outlet
For me, I only look at the cost effectiveness…Like I mentioned earlier on, if I am preparing RM2000 for my wife and I to shop for our CNY stuff, so long as there are 30% cheaper than buying at shopping mall, which is min RM600 cost savings to me..I am happier than ever already..
The savings RM600 can give red packet to my grandma makes her happy…Hahaha…
So, everyone is winner..Just that don’t pin too high hope for everything happens…Just stay positive and be grateful…with DV around it’s better than nothing, right?
you want high price product you go to other place la. not so premium huh?. so go shopping oversea la. why bother to go there. is it open for you only? noob
hi afternoon.
i just wanna to know either redwing outlet available at your mall?
thank you
LATEST UPDATE: COACH already sat in DVP !! Cool…
Let’s hope more to come in near future.e.g. Chanel, LV, Prada, Gucci..Hehehe..
I don’t understand why people are bashing DV. I managed to get Timberland shoes for half the price in QB. And brands like Skechers, Hush Puppies, Guess and the skincare shop also have really good discounts. Maybe I’m not a brand or fashion conscious person so I don’t feel so disappointed that they don’t hv luxury goods there. I’m happy enough just knowing I saved a few hundred with my normal purchases.
@Anna
It’s like that one. There are always cynical people who complain over everything good and bad happens in the world..
Same here, I managed to buy a jumper at RM110 at Timberland DVP too which I doubt I could get the same price at else where..Also,, RM60/pcs for Adidas climate cool series (selective items only)..Also cheaper than I got in Singapore or HK..
Besides, the 3 pairs of Crocs slippers at RM150 is also very tempting to me..I haven’t bought due to mine is still in good condition but somehow I paid RM 250 for 2 pairs at Queensbay Mall before DVP opened..
So, let’s just enjoy the shopping spree we have at DVP and ignore unhelpful & unconstructive comments lah..hahahah
@Anna
Most bashing DVP are those who feel their own properties will be negatively affected by DVP, example, those who are having difficulty flipping their properties in bayan lepas area, especially mah sing area. As we speak, prices for properties in mah sing area have come down 30% from the peak.
Hahaha….those giving negative comments are island ppl who have invested so much in the property there but did not get any promising return. Now Batu Kawan is coming up and they feel the hot.
Good luck for those invested in Batu Kawan especially those bought Utropolis & Aspen properties. Fortune is on the way to Batu Kawan.
Interested in buying single storey bungalow, single storey semi detached or single storey corner lot. Pls pm if available. Tqvm
@edisongan
LV and Chanel never has any outlet stores, not even in their home country France. It’s their brand direction. Some years ago there was a Chanel outlet store in New York outlet mall, but now also don’t have anymore. Prada and Gucci though… yes, can find… So… just manage your expectations 😀
