50% of Vertu Resort’s condominium units taken-up
Aspen Vision City’s first residential development – Vertu Resort in mainland Penang, has seen 50% of its condominium units taken-up since its soft launch in February this year, according to Aspen Group.
Vertu Resort is the second phase development in Aspen Vision City, a mega-scale, joint-venture development between Aspen Group and Ikano Pte Ltd.
Aspen Group’s chief executive officer Datuk M Murly said the seven-acre freehold residential project comprises 1,282 condominium units with built-ups ranging between 1,030 sq ft and 1,800 sq ft, spread across five residential towers ranging from 29 to 42 storeys.
“Designed to be in moving in condition, all units at Vertu Resort are complemented with home furnishings by IKEA, kitchen appliances by Teka, electrical appliances, built-in wardrobes, kitchen cabinets and other wet work renovations,” he said in the press statement.
Vertu Resort, which carries a gross development value (GDV) of RM620 million, is slated to be completed by 2019.
The current selling price of units at Vertu Resort starts from RM418,000 or averages at RM370 to RM450 psf. The units were selling at RM350 to RM380 psf during its soft launch in January this year.
Aspen Group through its subsidiary Aspen Vision City Sdn Bhd has paired up with Teka Küchentechnik (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd to provide kitchen appliances for Vertu Resort. Both companies have inked a contract worth more than RM5 million today.
This strategic collaboration will see all of Vertu Resort’s units equipped with the best from the German-based kitchen and home appliances provider. This maiden partnership also marks the first venture of Teka into the northern region’s marketplace.
“Although the pricing of Vertu Resort is fairly competitive, we will not compromise on the quality of the product,” said Murly.
The company also unveiled the show unit of Vertu Resort today.

Well done. This is the best way to get rid of gangster contractors. All developers should follow.
