Hello, this blog is interesting and quite informative. Would anyone be kind enough to shed some light on those ugly looking fans installed at a neighbouring building? They are REALLY big, and look like exhaust fans to me. Any concern with noise and smell, apart from the unsightly appearance?

Yes, I believe those fans are exhaust fans. Local regulation stipulates that all public car park buildings (that is a commercial building therefore public) must have these exhaust fans installed to suck out exhaust fumes from vehicles. So normally building designers would install exhaust fans for toilets and kitchens together, therefore you see 6 or 8 big fans here. I think noise and smell are inevitable now.

I have never said I had invested in Paya Terubong. It will not change a thing if Vincent Tan or Mary Tan is doing business in Margarine. This is a Tsunami affected area and you can’t prevent it happening again.

Why not check with developer if the fans posed a problem to those lower floor.By the view from outside,it looks like between level 4 to 7.Not so sure.Anyone can share here.I believed there’s nothing to worry about.Those affected should highlight to them.

As far as I’m aware,there are several on going projects plus some affordable apartments in Tg.Tokong area.Many are still in the pipeline but with current soft market and downturn,developers are cautious and will probably built those houses that are below one million dollars.This project is safe as far as E&O is concerned as its almost sold out already.Probably after next year,things will be more positive and back to normal.I wouldn’t deny now is the time to bargain and purchase your dream home.I have made mine.Just my view.
