  11. BobbyBob
    June 27th, 2011 at 15:20 | #11

    @CK I tried to google Siara 81 but apparently there’s no direct link to this project? Just found out some people commented that there are only 6 units left out of 75 units back in Apr11 on Facebook (Setia Vista’s Profile).

    By the way, the reason I’m asking for opinions here is because information published through official channels are usually biased ones. That is why I prefer to ask for feedbacks and analysis from the experienced or from those who might have connections inside to know news that outsiders don’t. I’d like to know more on future projects regardless of what kind of info it is (good or bad). Those who know something please don’t hesitate to share. Thanks.

  16. rich
    June 28th, 2011 at 05:12 | #16

    smart’s example is good. Do remember you with top up extra 20% of money, you can get a BMW. you should able to judge by your own.
    100% price – you got proton

  17. rich
    June 28th, 2011 at 05:19 | #17

    @rich

    100% price – you got a proton
    120% price – you got a BMW .

    btw, 1 more point for you guys to think:-
    1) if you are rich, will you care about topping up 100k-150k to get a good stuff? for me, answer is i will pay for it. that amount is just equal to rich ppl’s one or two month salary.
    2) if you are not rich, 100k to150k divide by 40years installment, that just an extra $200 to $300 monthly installment different. for me, i would like why not?
    3) if you are not rich and also not afford, then question back to yourself, pay so high price to get a proton , does it worth it? i would wait till i can collect extra 20% money to buy BMW. that will be a good choice.

    i guess whoever already bought will definitely disagree with what i said regardless true or false.

    i don’t mind to be blame for not constructive. At least i provided my opinion and remind the rest that haven’t buy.

    btw, if you are looking for a good project. try to look for project from sunway,mahsing,ytl or some good area ..i know Mutiara Goodyear is going to have a teres + condo project at gambir height area, beside sunway gambir teres. E&O is going to develop gertak sanggul soon after tanjung pinang. FYI, E&O bought a big piece of land in gertak sanggul.

    @rich, there’s only 2 units left for this project. Guess your goodwill gestures came a little late. It puzzles myself also how it could sell so well at 800k with little freebies. This if you compare with other “nap – nap one” project nearby. Pricewise is not cheap for this project…

    Louzy project in remote location does not deserve high price. we always need to remember that.

    June 29th, 2011 at 14:24 | #27

    Yup,Siara 81 is little bit expensive for 2 story,but just like the place and design:)

    Agree that it’s more cheaper that with just add on 150K for 3-Story from nearby project,but how,just don’t like 3 story with smaller land area:(

  34. rich

    price should go up giving a good reason, not because cause of stupid consumers that simply buy for fliiping.

    i dun think places like this should deserve the high price. it is just because of these group of ppl just bought for flipping.,.

    at the end, who rugi? not develoer neither, is those bought hoping for flipping get hurt.

    Hi all,
    The last time I visited this website was end of May, after taking some comments from the people here, I brought my parents to the partly done up show unit and help me to decide whether should I buy one.
    Their comments are the developer is not stingy in giving good things, the tiles for most of the space on ground and first floor, toilet tiles, higher door, the 11 feet building heights – some even achieved 13 feet! The last time my sister did their house renovation with this kind of quality of materials, already cost her so much.
    Even the space planning and design also – very spacious, bright, and just comfortable – don’t know how to describe.

  40. xiaow
    July 5th, 2011 at 09:15 | #40

    To add on, I search for a few banks after that, the rates are quite competative. OCBC not bad. Some offered package without tie in period but higher rates, but this is no use to me, I bought to stay with my parent, I get good rates.

    p/s : the design suites me as there is a parents’ room with attached bathroom on ground floor, so just ‘ngam’ my usage.

  41. Kenny
    July 5th, 2011 at 11:28 | #41

    yes, good quality material and good design with spacious. But one think no happy with TNB cable explore. Now almost all new project come with cable underground. Really hope developer will make changes as per J comment to make it prefect

  43. rich
    July 7th, 2011 at 09:22 | #43

    hi for those buyers,
    i have emphasized here again.

    1) if you bought for staying, that is nothing wrong or right. because it is personal need.
    2) if you bought for invest either hold/flip, then it is risky. because this is not a good project that has sub-sale market.

  44. Enn
    July 7th, 2011 at 12:11 | #44

    Haha…..okok……rich,we fully undestand your advise,it’s no point to repeat and repeat:) We as a buyer here is able to take “risk” as mention by you.

    But Xiaow,are we allow to visit show room even partly done?
    If yes,would like to visit this coming weekend:)

    Hi Enn,

    I just walked in …. the contractor did not stop me. understand that the developer are taking effort to improve some details to make it more perfect.

    After seeing J’s comment (#38), I have called up the developer, underground cable seems real. Awaiting to see. Anyone knows how we can know if they install underground or overhead cable?

  46. xiaow
    July 7th, 2011 at 16:10 | #46

    Hi J,

    You can contact the developer for the contact.
    (p/s : afraid people like ‘rich’ to say something funny again if i were to announce here.)

  47. Kenny
    July 7th, 2011 at 16:42 | #47

    simple.. if u see the TNB meter place beside main door – is overhead cable. if TNB meter place at fence pillar, is underground :-).

  48. rich
    July 12th, 2011 at 03:49 | #48

    xiaow,
    why you so scare of ppl commenting about this project? is that because you yourself also not confident and have doubt on certain stuff?
    it is common that whoever bought will like to hear a good comment only from ppl. i guess you are 1 of it.

    Now a days, Penang Island have many million dollar terrace, but mostly located at lousy area. Expecially for those at BJambul, Relau, Sg Ara, Paya Terubong, Teluk Kumbar and Suungai Batu area. You neibor hood could be old time work shop, squatter, kampung, indah water, low cost apartment.

  59. K8
    January 10th, 2012 at 15:38 | #59

    They why i rather spend much less, but a better house at Bw/Bm.
    Some Bw/Bm house surrounding is much better the those in Penang.
    Relau and Sg Ara area, are too many Indon and Bangla or Viet pxssy.
    I dont feel proud of staying in this area, not need to mention spending million dollar for a house.
    Future, Kulim, Batu Kawan, Science Park willl be booming in Mainland. Go buy there before they also reach 700K-900K.
    If buy at Penang island, just consider those location with good surrounding. May be just a dream …. multi million.

  88. Siara 81
    December 9th, 2012 at 02:03 | #88

    Yes. All Siara 81 owners can share whatever facilities that Setia Green has as it is open for public and MPPP is the eventual owner of the public place such as the retention pond.
    Why need to top up another 100K for Setia Green?

  89. Siara 81
    December 9th, 2012 at 02:27 | #89

    If SP Setia dares to make Setia Green gated, we Siara 81 must stand up together to sue them as they are illegally blocking the public access to the retention pond.

    No need to workout with SP Setia/management or anyone. Just walk in and say you want to have a walk there if the guard asked. Don’t let people fool you because your ignorance on the difference between guarded community and a real Gated and Guarded community. Nowadays even Indon also dare to confront the police if being spot check or detained, or mistreated.

    @CS ; @Penang Homes
    The way you talk are less civilized than a bangla. No point at all. You pay a premium for nothing but may be just with some real bangla sit at the guardhouse at the entrance just to “watch”. The law stated you (or anyone) don’t own the land/properties there, and it is public facilities for all to enjoy. You are not above the law. Go back and read if you don’t know or feel cheated for the premium you have paid. Wake up and accept the fact.

    December 17th, 2012 at 17:04 | #106

    @Bangla
    Before you challenge setia green, just go to taman jeselton or boon siew permai 2 ask for public access. I just simply listed 2 guarded community that not allowed public access! You win them,I personally pick you at SG guard house if you want to jogging at our lovely retention pond. :)

  107. Siara 81
    December 17th, 2012 at 18:17 | #107

    @Bangla
    No need to argue with those Setia Green proud owners. We just walk in and enjoy the same Setia Green facilities and not even need to ask the guard as the place is open for public. They paid premium for the additional facilities and still do not want to admit that they are cheated by SP Setia. Challenge here and there but dare not complain to SP Setia.
    But I think complaint also useless as SP Setia cannot change the fact that the retention pond is belonging to MPPP.
    @Bangla….See you every morning and evening near the retention pond and the exercise station! Exercise is good for health!

    Nowadays new Taman, will not have copper wire for Streamyx and TM force you to install UNIFI. I also heard that on the number of port of UNIFI, they will not provided you 100% coverage. Eg : that Taman consists of 100 units, maybe it only consists of 60 to 70 port and 1st come 1st serve. After that, balance owner will not entitled to install UNIFI and need to wait & wait.

    May be the signal still too weak due to the server station too far away from your house. Later you make complaint to them due to u didn’t get the speed you suppose to get. You can check with them whether this is the main issue. If yes, you just tell them you willing to take the risk if the speed too low and promise them you won’t file complaint later on. They might consider to support you area.

    Buyer :
    @bangla
    Yea it will be bangla area if you move in. Too bad the price over million now, feel sorry for you that you’re not affordable now. Oh yea, this Siara 81 do not have 1 unit rented out to foreigner let alone bangla.

    I won’t move in lah, already stayed in SPI. Yes, i cannot afford this unit since my money all goes to my SPI house and sathu residence.

    @bangla,
    Good to hear you already stayed in SPI & own Sathu residence, perhaps you can start to pray hard no bangla move in. Changes to have bangla in Siara 81 are low compare to SPI & Sathu. God Bless You.

    I am amaze to see over a million price tag for this project. But the price range is quite huge, some slightly over 900k.
